This study was carried out to determine the alpha naphthyl acetate esterase (ANAE) activity of peripheral blood leukocytes in camels. Heparinized blood samples taken from 13 adult camels were used. ANAE stainings were applied at different pH and durations for the determination of ANAE activity. The best reactions against ANAE were obtained for three hours stainings at pH 5.8. The proportion of ANAE positive T lymphocytes were 81.33 %. There was a diffuse granular pozitivity against ANAE staining in monocytes. However negative reactions were observed in erytrocytes and granulocytes

Bu çalışma, develerde perifer kan lökositlerinin alfa naftil asetat esteraz (ANAE) aktivitesinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Çalışmada materyal olarak 13 adet erişkin deveden alınan heparinize kan örnekleri kullanıldı. ANAE aktivitesinin belirlenmesi için farklı pH ve sürelerde ANAE boyaması uygulandı. ANAE boyamasına karşı en iyi reaksiyon pH 5.8'de yapılan 3 saatlik boyamalardan elde edildi. Kanda ANAE pozitif T lenfosit oranı % 81.33 olarak tespit edildi. ANAE boyamasına karşı monositlerin diffuz granuler pozitivite gösterdikleri, eritrositlerin ve granulositlerin ise negatif reaksiyon verdiği dikkati çekti
