Cryoprotectants used in freezing of gamete cells provide protection from cold shock and the other damages during freezing. Due to toxic effects of cryoprotectants, studies about them have been concentrated on it, and toxic effects have been tried to reduce by external cryoprotectants added. Optimum adding rates of cryoprotectants become peculiar to species and require determination of some parameters of cell membrane. Determinating of physiological and functional traits in cryopreserved-thawed cells have provided progress in cryobiological studies
