Postnatal osteological development of the os coxae and femur of the New Zealand rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus L.)

In this research, postnatal osteological development of the os coxae and femur within the periods from birth to 28. weeks of age was studied in the New Zealand rabbit. Os coxae and femur were stained with alizarin red and alcian blues in relation with the Inouye technique. They waited in the proper solutions were then dissected, and their photographs were taken by intel play QX3 digital microscope and a Kodak digital camera. Measurements were obtained by the use of a Mitutoyo digital caliber meter. Diaphyses of the os coxae and femur were observed to begin ossifying in the newborn rabbits. Primer and seconder ossification centers and their occurrence time were determined

Bu araştırmada Yeni Zelanda tavşanının os coxae ve femur’unun doğumdan sonra 28. haftaya kadar ki gelişimi üzerinde çalışıldı. Inouye tekniğine göre alizarin red ve alcian blue ile bütün periyotlardaki kemikler boyandı. Uygun solüsyonlarda saklanan kemiklerin diseksiyonları yapıldı. Intel play QX3 dijital mikroskop ve Kodak digital kamera ile fotoğrafları çekildi. Diseke edilen bacaklardan 150 mm’lik Mitutoyo marka kumpas ile ölçümler alındı. Yeni doğmuş hayvanların os coxae ve femur’larında diaphysis’lerin kemikleşmeye başladığı gözlendi. Arka bacaktaki bu kemiklerin primer ve sekonder kemikleşme merkezlerinin sayısı, görülme zamanları ayrıntılı olarak belirlendi
