Sporcularda Core Stabilizasyonun Yaralanmalarla İlişkisi

Öz

Tüm spor aktivitelerinde core stabilizasyonun etkisi giderek önem kazanmaktadır. Bu nedenle spor yaralanmalarını önlemek veya tedavi etmek ya da fonksiyonel performansın iyileştirilmesi için planlanan programlarda genellikle core stabilizasyon egzersizlerinin uygulanması önerilmektedir. Bu yaklaşımın nedeni zayıf bir core stabilizasyonunun kötü performansa neden olacağı veya meydana gelebilecek yaralanmaların riskini artıracağı teorisine dayanmaktadır. Core stabilizasyon, fonksiyonel aktiviteler sırasında kuvvetlerin optimum üretimi, transferi ve kontrolü için gövdenin konumunu ve hareketini kontrol etme yeteneğidir. Dolayısıyla core fonksiyonunda meydana gelen bir yetersizlik distal segmentlere ulaşan desteğin azalmasına ve ekstremitelerin yaralanmaya açık hale gelmesine neden olmaktadır. Sınırlı sayıda kanıt sporcularda core stabilite ile üst ve alt ekstremite yaralanmaları arasındaki bağlantıya dikkat çekmektedir. Sporcularda core stabilite egzersizleri sıklıkla kullanılmasına rağmen hala önleme ve performans üzerine etkisine dair sonuçlar da tartışma konusudur. Bu nedenle sporcular için yaralanmaların önlenmesi ve tedavide rehabilitasyon programları planlanırken core stabilizasyon egzersizlerinin dahil edilmesi söz konusu olduğunda kesin kararlar vermek için daha fazla araştırmaya ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada core stabilite ile distal segmentler arasındaki ilişki ve yaralanmaların önlenmesi sürecinde core egzersizlerinin etkinliğini incelemek amaçlanmıştır.
