Abstract
A number of 42 adult rabbi ts were used in this researeh designed to localiıe Iymph nodes pre~cnı ın ıhe hcad ,md
neck of New Zealand rabbits. The caudal parotideal node was found LO be present on the auricular c<ırtilage and cranial ıo the eaudal
aurıeular vcin. The cranial mandibular node was seen between the faeial submental veıns and ventra1 to the mandibular gland. Thıs
Iymph node wa~ sometimes observed possessing another node eranial to il. The retropharyngeal node was displaycd between the
sternoeephalic and longus eapitis museles and at the level of the larynx. As a result. all the Iymph nodes in the head. and only
retropharyngeal nodes among the ones in the neek were seen to fuııy develop. The traeheal tnmk was al~o shown to orıginaıe from
ıhe \cntral border of the retropharyngeal node.

lenf dügümü ilc bunun önünde her zaman saptanamayan ikinci hir lenf dügümünden ibaret olduğu görüldü. Ln. retropharyngcus 'un.
laı'ynx hizasında ve m. sterııoeephalicu~ ile m. longus capitis arasında bulımduğu saptandı. Sonuç olarak, ba.ş bölge~inde ycr ,ılaıı lenf
düğümlerinin tamamının. boyun bölgesinde ise sadece In. retropharyngeus'un geliştiği ve tnmeus tracheali~'in bu lenf dıiğıımlllılın
ventral ucundan orijin aldıgı gözlendi.
