This survey was carried out on 8 dogs with demodiCusis. in the some areas of the .lkin, lıair loss, scrau'hing and hyperemia
were estimated. The skiıı scrapifıg taken from lesions were mixed with
20 percent KOH and Demodex canİs was detected microscopically.
In t/w treatment of the seven out of 8 dogs, O. i5 percent phoxim
solution was used five times at three days intervals. Before each application skin scraping examinations were repeated. During the treatment
no toxic reactİons were determİned. Twenty days after the fİfth application it was obscrved that new hair were grown and no D. canis

was İn the lesions. In the dog left without treatment severe demodicosis was improved. No reclIrrcnce occured during two months after
the last treatment
