1. The Journal of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University is a scientific research journal founded in 2010. It is an internationally indexed academic journal with referees published regularly twice a year (June and December) in the fields of engineering and architectural sciences, basic sciences, and agriculture and forest sciences.
2. Research articles in Turkish or English are published in the journal. Publications such as reviews, technical notes, letters to the editor, discussions and case reports are not included in the journal.
3. Articles submitted to the journal for publication must not have been published anywhere or submitted to any journal for publication.
4. Articles submitted to the journal for publication must be prepared in accordance with the journal writing rules.
5. Latin expressions and names in articles submitted to the journal for publication should be written in Italics and international spelling rules should be taken into account in abbreviations.
6. Copyright Transfer Form for articles submitted to the journal for publication must be signed by the authors and uploaded to the system.
7. No article processing fee is charged for articles submitted to the journal for publication.
8. Articles submitted to the journal for publication are evaluated by national and/or international referees.
9. Double Blind Referee method is used in the reviewing process of articles submitted to the journal for publication. In this method, the author and referee identities of the articles are hidden.
10. Articles sent to referees are expected to be reviewed within 30 days. If this period is exceeded, the editors appoint a new referee and withdraw the request from the previous referee.
11. After the decision on minor or major revision of the article, the author is expected to make the necessary improvements within 20 days for minor revision and 40 days for major revision. Otherwise, the article will be rejected.
12. The final decision (acceptance-rejection decision) about the article is made by the editors. In line with the recommendations of the referees, minor or major revision decisions are made to improve the articles that are deemed inadequate. Articles that are not improved at the desired level and are not scientifically sufficient are rejected.
13. All responsibility for the articles submitted to the journal belongs to the authors. Articles must be prepared in accordance with internationally accepted scientific ethics rules. Where necessary, a copy of the Ethics Committee Report should be attached.
14. Articles submitted to the journal for publication are scanned by the Editor with the "iThenticate: Plagiarism Detection" program. As a result of the scanning, the similarity rate should be at most 20%, excluding sources. Articles with a similarity rate higher than this rate are rejected before being taken into the evaluation phase.
15. For articles accepted for publication in the journal, the relevant author is given 14 days for proofreading. Articles of relevant authors who do not respond within this period are rejected.
16. The authors must comply with the requirement "For all branches of science, separate ETHICS COMMITTEE APPROVAL must be obtained for clinical and experimental studies on humans and animals that require an ethics committee decision, and this approval must be stated and documented in the article" in ULAKBİM's decision dated February 25, 2020. Publications that do not meet this requirement will not be accepted.
17. Articles submitted to the journal for publication must comply with all rules within the scope of the "Higher Education Institutions Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive". None of the actions mentioned under the heading "Actions Contrary to Scientific Research and Publication Ethics" of the mentioned directive should be carried out.

Within the scope of "TR Index Journal Evaluation Criteria", the responsibility of determining the necessary permission documents in accordance with the ethical rules and submitting them to the journal belongs to the responsible author.
