Abstract

In this study, total of 357 samples including skin, gill and intestine content of 105 rainbow trout, 21 feed and 21water samples assured from 3 rainbow trout farms in Ankara city and around were analyzed for Salmonella spp. Two of intestine content samples (1,9%)were found positive for Salmoneıla spp. whereas no Salmonella spp. were found in ski n and gill samples of 105rainbow trout. Examing the seasonal prevelance of Salmoneıla it was observed that Salmoneıla was isolated in March. As a result ofserotype determinationone is S. Virchow (6,7:r: i,2). No Salmoneıla spp. were isolated from 21 feed and 21 water samples assured from rainbow trout farms.two Salmoneıla serotypes were isolated from intestines; one determined as S. lnfantis (6,7:r: 1,5) and the other
