Farklı düzeylerde kalsiyum içeren yumurta tavuğu rasyonuna eggshell-49 ilavesinin performans, yumurta kalitesi ve bazı kan parametrelerine etkisi

Year 2004, Volume: 51 Issue: 3, 219 - 224, 01.09.2004

Abstract

Effects of eggshell-49 supplementation to laying hen diets containing different levels of calcium on performance, egg quality and some blood parameters

Year 2004, Volume: 51 Issue: 3, 219 - 224, 01.09.2004

Abstract

This study was performed to evaluate the effects of the diets containing 3.5% and 4% calcium (Ca) and supplementation of the diets with eggshell-49 as organic manganese (Mn) and zinc (Zn) source on performance, egg quality and some blood parameters in laying hens. One hundred and twenty eight, 62 weeks old Nick chick white laying hens were used in this experiment. Hens were divided into 4 groups with 4 replicates as a control and three treatment groups each containing 32 hens. The control group was fed basal diet containing 3.5% Ca and treatment groups were fed basal diet containing 4% Ca, 3.5% Ca+1g/kg eggshell-49 and 4% Ca+1g/kg eggshell-49 for 10 weeks. At the end of the experiment, there were no statistically differences among the groups in live weight, egg production, feed consumption, feed efficiency, Haugh unit, specific gravity, serum Ca, P and Mg value. Egg shell thickness was significantly (p
