Abstract

-Bu çalı~mada broiler horozunun (Gallus domesticus) articulatio genus'u morfolOjik olarak incelcnmi~tir. Articulatio
gemıs. ba~lıca alu ligamen! (ligaıııentum tibiopatellare, ligaıııentum collateralc mediale. ligaıııcntum collaterale lateralc. ligamenııım
crucıalUm craniale. ligaıııenttım cnıciattım caudale, ligamentum tibiofibulare proximale). iki eklem içi kıkırdak (ıneniscus medialis
ve mcniscus lateralis) ve dört keınigin (fcımır. tibiotarsus, fibula ve patella) olu~turdugu. oldukça karma~ık bir eklemdir. HistolOjik
ıncelemeler her ıki meniscus'lin de fibrokartilaginöz bir yapıya sahip oldugunu gösterrni~tir. Meniscus mcdialis'in caudal kenarından
çıkan ligamentum rneniscotibiale caudale ve ligamenttıın meniscofemorale, ligaınentuın cnıciatum caudalc'yi dor,,!!. caudal ve
medıal'den tamamen ku~atmı~ur

Anatomy of the knee joint in broiler cockerel

Abstract

-The knee joint (articu!atio genus) of the broilcr cockerel (Gallus domesticus) was studied morphologically in this
investıgation. The knee joint was observed to be fairly complicated and formed by four bones (fernur. tibiotarsus. fihula. pateııa).
mainly six lıgaments (tibiopatellar ligament, media! collateral ligamcnt, lateral collateral ligament, cranial cruciate ligamenl. cauda!
crııcıate ligaınent. proximal ıihıoribular ligament), and two intraarticular cartilages (mcdial ıneniscus and lateral meniscu,).
Histological exaıninations have shown that both of the menisci passess fibrocanilage structures. Caudal meniscotihial ligaınenı anel
menıseofemora! ligament both arising from the caudal border of the mcniscus medialis completely covered the eaudal enıcıaıe
Iıgaınent from the dorsa!. caudal and medial sides.
